4.45pm, Sunday 26th May, Gate 22, Adelaide Airport, South Australia
Evening folks, and I apologise to regular readers – I haven’t been on strike, sick with the flu, or on holiday! I’ve just been off the blog air…..but now I’m back!
Now it’s pretty unusual to be able to predict a ‘one night stand’ at any time…….but I know for a fact that I’ve got six of them….in a row…this week! In about 40 minutes I’ll be hitching a ride with Qantas up to Queensland, and will have 6 one night ‘Rare & Fine wine event ‘ stands in the following order, starting tomorrow with Toowoomba – right up there at the top of The Great Dividing Range. So we’ve got Toowoomba, then Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast, then Brisbane, then The Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise), then into Northern New South Wales with Grafton, finishing with Kingscliff on Saturday night. So get ready, because here we come with the new 2008 Octavius Old Vine Shiraz, the 2009 Signature Cabernet Shiraz, and the 2010 Virgilius – celebrating 15 years of the tippy top barrel selection Viognier from our house.
See you tomorrow night when we’re in Toowoomba at Fibber Magees, with all our mates from the Downs Club and the Spotted Cow as well, let alone the best breakfast in the mountains – at the Pink Peppercorn.
