5.36pm, Sunday 20th May, Lions Park, Noosa Parade, Noosa Heads, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia
Evening folks – up here in Noosa, the sun’s dropped right out of the sky, it’s gone very dark very quickly, and Sneaky Sound System are in full thumping electro pop flight as the main closing act in the Grand Marquee for this year’s Food and Wine Festival. It’s been a massive 4 days up here with great food, wine, cooks and chefs left, right, and centre!! Here is just a ‘not even scratching the surface’ look at what’s been going on:
Another sunny start in Noosa and the Festival is underway in the Lions Park
Audi are one of the main event sponsors, and Jayney Halls (our ‘part of the furniture in a good way’ sales gal up here on the Sunshine Coast) and I are thrilled to bits as we can see ourselves cruising up and down the Coast when we reccommend this convertible as the new company car! We will only have space for a couple of cartons of wine for deliveries……but we will look really good doing them!
Jayney teaching visiting Hong Kong foodie Alvin Leung – The Maverick Chef – all about the 2011 Yalumba Vermentino. This wine has been a massive hit with the seafood dishes on the Festival menu. Like these Steamed Buns put together by Natascha Mirosch from the Queensland Good Food Guide – using local Noosa Spanner Crab, preserved lemon mayo, wasabi & parsley.
Here’s Jayne – still talking Vermentino, only this time it’s for the TV, with famous Italian chef Davide Scabin – from Combal. Zero in Turin.
