12.44pm, Saturday 13th August, Kingsford Smith airport, Gate 7, Sydney , NSW
Pleased to report our 8th Yalumba dinner at The Riverine Club has held the tradition as one of the big nights out on the Wagga social calendar! More detail tomorrow as I catch everything up back at the winery and get set for the Negociants USA team visit for the whole week. I do love my one night stand in Wagga each year – it’s like having extra family that you don’t have to buy Christmas presents for! With all the medicos that attend, I can usually get a bit of a consult on the knee, the eyes, and that nagging pain in the lower back for a few extra glasses of Signature! That’s a great deal. Not to mention how terribly sensible the Wagga airport is – gate one of one, no security screening, and one of my all time favourite aeroplanes. The Bombardier Q 400 – made in Toronto, another one of my favourite towns to work in.
So I promise to tie up all the loose ends tomorrow on what’s been a five star run through NSW and the ACT – and with any luck I’ll be back in the Barossa tonight in time to see local rock legends “Wildflower” – with our own red cellar man Craig Hudson on wildman vocals and percussion – blast out at The Stockwell Hotel. You can’t waste a moment, folks! See ya when we’re home!
