9.54am, Friday 8th April, Yalumba Clocktower, Angaston
It’s 31 degrees and warm already outside, and I’ll guarantee you every harvester – machine and hand – is out there flat out this morning. It’s been a perfect dry sunny week to get the grapes in, and the weather report is for possible showers starting on the weekend – so busy, busy , busy out there right now.
I’m about to dive out onto the highway and head for the Glenelg Football Club down in Adelaide, as I’m the support act – along with Pewsey Vale Riesling and Scribbler Cabernet Shiraz – at their big monthly luncheon today. The star will be ex North Melbourne hard man Glen Archer. That huge blond good looking mountain of a man with thighs like tree trunks?? yYp – the very one! Promise not to have too much of a good time!
See ya on the weekend.
