Heading into the Country

7.08am, Tuesday 21st September, London Bridge, London, England, UK
Another stellar autumnal morning in London, and I’m packing up and leaving town for eight days. Firstly we head south for Portsmouth , then the big drive north to Windemere in The Lakes District, then into my equal favourite area of England with Devon – the Grim North around Manchester – then on up into Scotland with a five-night stand in Edinburgh.

I didn’t get a chance to write  up Roadtrip Stop 5 – The Bell Dinner at Skenfrith, Wales – so I’ll save that till I get back and do it properly – it deserves it!

Plus we had an outstanding day in London city yesterday – with the sommelier brigade and some stunning Pan Asian fusion food and wine matching at Cocoon, and a group of Majestic store managers at our annual after-work seminar at The Phoenix pub – Victoria. I’ll catch all of that up somewhere on the road over the next few days – as well as whatever new adventures we stumble into. See you out there.
